KS3 Design Technology DT - Cover Lesson - Alessi Designing Products

A stand alone lesson which is perfect for any KS3 or higher KS2 or lower KS4 Cover Lesson or the start of a new project. Based on the designer Alessi and designing new products for market, I based this one on unusual inspirations, but you can easily change the wording so that it mentions your own made up objects too.
All you need to do is print one sheet per student (or 1 between 2) and the only other resources needed are plain paper and pencils/crayons whatever you would like them to draw with!
My 2nd ever upload so I am hoping this is helpful to someone!

A stand alone lesson which is perfect for any KS3 or higher KS2 or lower KS4 Cover Lesson or the start of a new project. BAsed on Cardboard Furniture for Festivals or events, I based this one on my local Food Festival, but you can easily change the wording so that it mentions your own made up festival. Perfect as a one-off lesson.
All you need to do is print one sheet per student (or 1 between 2) and the only other resources needed are plain paper and pencils/crayons whatever you would like them to draw with!
My first ever upload so I am hoping this is helpful to someone!

KS3 DT Design Technology - Introduction to electronics and Inputs and Outputs -Cover Lesson + DO NOW

2 hour lessons on an introduction to electronics and inputs and outputs. You may want to tweak the DO NOW questions to suit your setting but I think you can use most of it ‘as is’. Students just need one of the student version sheets back to back printed. Use as 2 separate hour lessons or one double. PPTs to go with print out for students. I used this for a light box project, but tweak and use as you see fit. Great for cover.

Can be reused for anyone in KS3. Very straightforward needs little input to deliver, perfect for cover teachers.

This is a PPT but set up like a print out so all you need to do is send the file to print and pass to students. Pupils don’t need anything else or any other resources so perfect for a cover lesson. Just need pencils, and crayons or pens or whatever you would like them to use. Great for the Natural Forms project in KS4 but would also be great for an able KS3 group or cover for any art group.

A double lesson cover lesson for KS4 or for gifted KS3 students. Grided tasks where students use observational skills to copy images that fit into the GCSE subject area of natural forms. Just print double sided onto A3 paper and pass to pupils. Single sided if you want to cut out images and use later for portfolios. Lovely images. Just print and go! 2 x 1 hour lessons in one!
