This is a short scheme of work for Year 7 - which looks at devising using a variety of different stimuli. The students will create a new piece each lesson, with a different focus. There could be a through theme, so each lesson links with the last to build on a longer performance, or they could be completely individual. The assessment lesson will allow the students to put all their new skills into practice.

A 7-lesson SOW, introducing drama, through trust lessons and building a mime sequence. The students will learn the 3 c’s, communication, co-operation and concentration. What a freeze frame and tableaux mean. Then they will learn a mime sequence as part of an assessment, thinking about how they can use their gestures to show clearly what they are doing.
