A Kagan manage mat is a creative way of distributing classroom tasks, questions and activities. Adapted this mat from Dr. Spencer Kagan’s cooperative learning group table mats. Manage mats help support cooperative learning in your classroom.

Place the mats in the center of your tables. Each pupil has a number and a letter. They have two partners: a shoulder partner and face partner. During the lesson, assign pupils to work with their shoulder or face partner to encourage talking with each other, sharing ideas and collaborative learning. The numbers and letter assignments can be used for both table group roles and whole class roles.

A revision clock is a innovative method of getting pupils to split their time up in a lesson or at home when revising and to break larger topics down into manageable chunks. Pupils have a limited time to write down facts about a given topic. In this case the hour is split into twelve sections. Pupils would start at 12 o’clock and would have 5 minutes to fill that section before moving on. Use this tool to help ensure you have a quick paced lesson.

There are two file types available and can be easily edited to ensure that it is suitable for your subject/specification.
