Instructions and guidance to invent own surreal poem in the style of Dans Paris by Paul Éluard. Instructions are in English and there is a list of conjugated verbs in French and English that pupils could substitute. A basic writing grid is supplied. Please note that the full poem is not included - just a few quotes. The sharp-eyed will notice that the original poem uses the past historic but the supplied verbs are given in the perfect tense for reasons of sanity.

Areas covered include: what's in each paper, how the essay component is examined (in the context of film), what the differences are between the AS and A level essay, suggested reading for film analysis [French and Spanish only], how the speaking exam is conducted and assessed, and what 'knowledge of the country where the TL is spoken' means. 1,200 words.
