<p>A revision guide to help students in KS3 prepare for an end of topic assessment. Includes revision activities, Space for own revision notes and a range of visual resources. Covers the following areas of the topic:<br /> Where China is Located<br /> Population Pyramids<br /> One Child Policy<br /> Climate Graphs<br /> Tourism and features of China<br /> The Three Gorges Dam<br /> Industry in China</p> <p>A great resource for revision, or can be used as a workbook to support classroom learning.</p>

<p>A selection of activities for students to do throughout the year. Aimed at all abilities and styles of learners with a range of tasks from diary entries to an art piece. These have been designed so that students can work on them whenever, rather than having to complete them in one sitting.</p> <p>I use this a lot when doing assessments to give students who finish early something to occupy themselves with but also in lessons so that if a task is completed quickly they can start on an extension piece.</p> <p>These tasks are designed to encourage students to think about the application of their history topics but also to approach their learning in a different way than we do in a lot of lessons. I’ve had some very creative responses to these tasks and the students enjoy doing them!</p>

<p>A lesson on the introduction of natural hazards. Looks at what a hazard is and gives students a task to build a collection of case studies they are likely to study at some point through KS3/KS4.</p> <p>Activities Included in the lesson:<br /> Starter Activity- identifying hazards<br /> Defining a hazard (can play a game of hangman to find the missing word)<br /> Types of hazard<br /> Card sorting activity (comes with cards and table to be filled)<br /> Recap Quiz<br /> Homework activity- newspaper report on a recent hazard</p>

<p>A lesson to introduce GCSE students to the UK relief and landscapes. Included is a lesson plan that you can adapt to your needs, lesson presentation and writing frame for the writing activity,</p> <p>This lesson begins with a definition matching starter, introduced the idea of a landscape and applies it to coastal landscapes, a quick quiz and the main activity of a memory mapping exercise.</p> <p>For the memory mapping, I used a relief map of the UK that the school already owned, however, they are easy to find on google if your school doesn’t already have one.</p>

<p>A main task and extension tasks on the topic of globalisation, looking at food mileage, manufacturing and other aspects. Includes a main task, extension activity, and a challenge task for HA students.</p>

<p>1 hour lesson on the Magna Carta. Covers what Magna Carta is, how it came into being and how it is still a part of our lives today.</p> <p>Includes a starter task that uses literacy skills, a video comprehension task as well as a ranking task.</p> <p>Resources included- lesson plan that you can adapt to your needs, lesson slides, worksheets.</p>
