Series and Parallel Circuits Work Sheet KS4 AQA

(4)
Simple, labelled worksheet I made for a KS4 physics class. I’m not a physics specialist, so I’ve tried to make it as straight forward as possible. Clear diagrams and some gap fills for students. This has helped my class as a starting point. Please point out any errors or improvements. Thank you. I have added the answes.

Ionic Bonding Support Sheet

(3)
Support sheet for lower ability sudents. Print out to A3 to allow more room to draw electrons. It helps if they have colours to draw the electrons on different atoms. This worked really well with my bottom 9’s.

Covalent Bonding Support Sheet and Exam Questions

(2)
Covalent Bonding support sheet. Print as A3 sheets. Students write the number of valence electrons in one box and then draw the outside shell of six common atoms. This gives them a visual clue when trying to put the atoms together and it helps them to see the patterns. There are three low demand exam questions and three standard demand exam questions to help students become familiar with questions.

Atoms, Ions and Subatomic Particles Revision Mat and Quiz

(2)
Revision mat I’ve used with lower ability students who need a lot of repetition and practice with formal language. I usually print it as A3 with the exam question on the back. The question and answer slips I print out double sided and then students quiz each other. The questions are variations on the theme of subatomic particles. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Differentiated atoms and ions worksheet - used during lock down

(1)
I made this for Yr 9 during lock down, for students working from phones. Change it to pdf to ensure it’s accessible for all phones. If students don’t have access to printers or equipment, they can match numbers and letters so they don’t have to write everything out. I made a series of these and most 9’s did them. Part 1 and 2 are low demand, part 3 is a medium True / False and part 4 a challenging True / False. I took Part 5 from a worksheet I’ve had hanging around for years. I am unable to reference the author - I don’t think it was TES. If it is anyone from TES, I’ll amend and reference (or of course remove if requested).
