I created this resource to help students to practice their inferencing skills. I used this as part of a history lesson. Students are to consider all of the images on the poster and make a guess of who the person is/ what they were involved in. Historical figures included- Adolf Hitler Winston Churchill Joseph Stalin Alexander Flemming Rosalind Franklin

A starter activity to encourage students to consider that writing changes depending on the perspective/ purpose of the writer. To deliver this, I brought sweets for students to sample. They then had to describe the same sweets from the different perspectives on the cards.

In my classroom I have implemented a ‘help station’ to direct students to differentiated resources when they need more support to complete the work. I printed this sign on A3 paper, laminated, cut out and stuck on the wall above the help station.
