<p>In these EAL/ESL materials, students help a bee navigate a hive through cells connected by similar sounds, reinforcing pronunciation skills. There is one task for each of the following sounds and a slide with the answers: /e/ (help), /^/ (cup), th (theatre), /3:/ (bird).</p>
<p>This EAL/ESL lesson turns grammar practice and intensive reading into a dynamic, interactive task where students actually use the language in meaningful exchanges. Students will be learning and practicing grammar while also working on real communication skills.</p>
<p>Students learn about Roald Dahl’s life (by reading a biography) and practise questions with ‘do’ or ‘be’ in this info gap created for 3 groups (A, B, C). Starter and extension activities included.</p>
<p>This lesson combines grammar and integrated skills. Students need to work collaboratively in different group arrangements, catering for a variety of working styles. The materials are simple and there is high level of student interaction, making this a low prep, high impact lesson. The lesson s adaptable to different class sizes and proficiency levels and includes follow-up exercises for more advanced students.</p>
