I passed around a piece of paper to my kids and asked them to write down what they would be when they grew up. I compiled a list and found a photo to accompany each profession. I was surprised with what they wrote! Focus: Quand je grandis, je vais être... professeur par exemple. I had them ask each other around the class; they learned about each other, I learned about them, and they learned some French. Learn etre, pass the verb around the room starting 'Je suis' and pass it on by telling the next person, 'Tu es,' etc. I gave them the adjective list (XLS doc) and then with the pictures from adjectifs (PPT) I had them make sentences about the photograph using the adjectives (there are about 130 adjectives on the list). I went over self description, height, hair color, eye color (that is where the PlusAvoirPPT comes in).
