However could be used for Year 6 for the more challenging pupils and can be adapted for EAL.</p> <p>SOW for the lessons is included with detailed information and culture capital in mind.<br /> 18 lessons with resources, comprehension questions included for each chapter with challenge included.<br /> Also included unit assessment with model assessment response slide too.</p> <p>It will support the pupils to explore and understand:<br /> Discrimination and its forms<br /> Apartheid and its impact - the historic issues<br /> Trauma regarding young adults<br /> The fight for equality<br /> Looking at grief and hope within the novel<br /> Looking at the different activist who worked for human rights<br /> Also included youtube links and TedTalk videos for more information and support understanding<br /> Skills of writing a letter, speech, newspaper article and diary entry.</p>
