<p>A KS2 Maths revision A3 mat to help children practise key Maths skills and concepts. This is great to use as a revision tool for Year 6 SATs and can be used weekly as a scaffold for retrieval. It covers: Quadrilaterals, 3D shapes, perimeter, area, volume, circle properties, Roman numerals, averages, properties of number, angles, units of length, mass and capacity and more! Also would be a fantastic tool in Year 7 to aid the learning process and recap prior skills.</p>

<p>‘Check that Grammar’ is a series of quick lesson starters. There are 14 in total so one can be used per week for a whole term. There is a paragraph per session where the children can work to identify the grammar errors in the text. Answers are provided and all grammar elements are specific to the Years 5 and 6 curriculum. They can be used for younger or older children too and can help with Year 6 revision.</p> <p>PowerPoint: This can be used as a whole class teaching resource where the texts (paragraphs) can be shared, discussed and analysed together. The children can then work in pairs or independently to identify the errors. Answers are provided after each extract. Children can also be encouraged to write and share their own paragraphs.</p> <p>PDF printables: All the paragraphs can be printed to allow the children to have a copy of the paragraphs on their tables so they can annotate the text. The answers can also be printed, if the children are required to mark their own work. These are designed to be quick lesson starters or can even be used as an extension activity to challenge independent learners. It’s also a great revision tool for Year 6 SATs.</p>

<p>‘Creative Writing: Complete that Story’ is a bundle of resources for use in the classroom or as part of home learning. It comprises of 52 story starters to engage children primarily in Years 5 and 6 but can also be used for younger and older children too. Storytelling should spark children’s imaginations and these story starters will do just that! From these story starters, that include elements of grammar from the UKS2 curriculum, the child/children will be able to plan the rest of the story in order to complete it. This can be: a fun and active talk for writing opportunity, can form part of a mindful storytelling activity or can be a stimulus to create independent writing. The pack includes the following:</p> <p>Workbook: This workbook can be printed for individual use and allows the child to work through the story starters in any order they choose. There is lined paper, a draw your story page and a boxing up page to plan the story. There are additional lined pages at the back of the workbook if needed. Some children will just jump into the writing stage, whereas others may enjoy the opportunity to plan their ideas before writing.</p> <p>Story Starter PowerPoint: This PowerPoint shares all the story starters (52 in total) individually and can be a whole class activity or starter. This enables the story to be discussed as part of the planning stage.</p> <p>Story Starter Cards: These cards can be printed and cut up and can be used as a fun Literacy starter or to start a story telling game. At home, these can be used as a storytelling opportunity at any point in the day. Your child/children can select a card and actively discuss what could happen next. They are intended to be used to unearth talk for writing; they can solely be used as an opportunity for storytelling without the need to plan and write the story down.</p> <p>Blank Story Starter Card Templates: These can be printed off to enable the child/children to write their own story starters. These can then be swapped between the children in order for them to continue each others’ stories. This really does give the children ownership of the writing process and it’s always an enjoyable experience to share the finished stories with their peers!</p> <p>Boxing Up and Draw Your Story Templates: These are both part of the workbook but have been separately created so they can easily be printed alongside any of the activities in this pack.</p>
