A couple of adapted and modifed resources but largely focus is on exam requirements/techniques/ AOs etc. Sources clearly visible on hyperlinks in WORD DOCs, where applicable. This bundle has some PPTs on a few of Heaney’s poems with exam links to AQA English Language and Literature A Level. Some slides can easily be copied and added to new ones to ensure cohesion across the T&L framework used, e.g. AOs, LIPppS Tables etc. Successfully received by students who enjoyed learning more about Ireland etc. Many LINKS for further study on WORD DOC2. A great change from the usual poems studied and LINKS to historical, societal and cultural differences and writers across the UK, Northern Ireland and RoI. Particularly relevant and important post 25th Anniversary of The Good Friday Agreement.

This whole college PPT is usually delivered in person by me. However, you can add to it and personalise it further yourself for your school or college. It aims to consider transition from KS4 - 5 and examples are from a variety of subjects. It is not exclusive - there may be other ideas you may wish to add. It could be modified to accomodate KS3 - 4 transition. It attempts to offer an inclusive approach and at the end, are ideas specifically for less able students. It has been received by teachers well and could be invaluable for trainee teachers or those new to the profession (as well as those who have just run out of ideas!). Some images from the public domain but other sources cited or LINKS placed for verification and also further reading.

This complete document models and explains how to approach and respond to the IMAGE task in descriptive writing. It includes how to structure paragraph responses as well as SPaG requirements and ideas. Could be modified for less able. Can be adapted for lessons/ PPTs. Level 9s achieved using it. Very helpful and successful. Breaks it all down. Source image from AQA. Front image from: https://vibrantteaching.com/examples-of-descriptive-writing-for-kids/ which would be useful for less able students.
