<p>This is a unit of work for Shakespeare’s Macbeth to be used with upper KS2 or lower KS3. The concepts and ideas are simplified and it could be accompanied by a graphic novel or cartoon version of the play.</p> <p>Students build three main skills throughout the unit: informal letter writing, summary writing and newspaper report writing using Macbeth as the medium. Teaches some of the basic plot lines and characters from the play.</p> <p>Warm Up activities center around Elizabethan grammar and vocabulary.</p> <p>There are 8 powerpoint lessons in total and an end-of-unit test. Excellent resources as a starting point for developing a unit for your students - can easily be adapted for any difficulty or age group.</p>

<p>This is a full unit (one half-term or more) for upper KS2 or lower KS3. This unit looks at real-life heroes as well as fictional ones. There is a focus on superheroes and villains. Reading skills (such as visualising, and inferring), narrative writing, spelling and learning new vocabulary, creating plot/setting/characters, etc are the skills most developed in this unit.</p> <p>This unit has been taught several times with fantastic outcomes, student engagement and development of important reading and writing skills.</p> <p>There are 16 resources in total. Resources included in this pack are: 6 powerpoint points (with L.O.s), worksheets, and a number of assessments (reading, writing and spelling).</p>

<p>This unit introduces some beginner poetry with creative writing and PEEL activities. Students look at a range of poetic forms as a medium to learn rheotrical/descriptive devices. The unit has all resources, learning objectives, powerpoints, texts, hand outs and final unit assessments. There are 9 lessons in total and will take roughly one half-term to complete. 19 resources in the bundle all together.</p> <p>It is ready to go and has been used succesfully with many groups of children.<br /> Ideally for Y7 but depends on ability (could be Y6 or lower-ability Y8).</p>
