The lesson involves four practical stations where students carry out the tests for oxygen, chlorine, hydrogen, and carbon dioxide. Note - the carbon dioxide test usually takes longer than the others so an alternative is to demo this to the class and let them carry out the others.

This knowledge organiser summarises the key information from the ecology topic from AQA GCSE Combined Science (trilogy). Everything is included except the required practical on sampling (as it didn’t fit). Students may need to be provided with an additional resource for this.

This is a knowledge organiser designed for a mixed foundation and higher tier class, with target grades ranging from 44 to 66. It contains the basic essential knowledge to get marks. I use the resource as a knowledge bank for students in class but it does not include the process for reacting mass calculations at higher tier. Feedback received with appreciation.
