Word Class Scavenger Hunt

(0)

This is a fun and engaging resource designed to help your children to learn or revise their knowledge of word class usage and definitions.
If you are looking to consolidate learning as part of SATs preparation, this would offer a more interactive and inclusive way to achieve this. Children could work in pairs or independently and you could add challenges for any greater depth or more willing learners.
It would suit UKS2 children but could be adapted for LKS2 also.
Clues include questions about each word class which the children have to answer to lead them to the next clue. On each clue card, there are definitions of: nouns (including common, abstract and proper), verbs, adjectives, adverbs, determiners, adverbs, prepositions, pronouns and conjunctions (subordinating and co-ordinating).
This is a self-checking resource which negates the need for teacher marking but does include answers when the children start at Station A.
I have offered various ways to use the resource to suit the needs of your class and available space.
The design is minimal and I have been mindful of ink and paper usage.
There is an answer sheet that can be stuck into books, if needed and instructions for the children to follow.

Mixed Times Tables Scavenger Hunt

This resource is designed to make consolidating times tables fun and engaging for KS2 pupils (7-11). It would also be ideal for the Year 4 Multiplication Check practice.
There are a series of 12 questions which are self-checking, minimising marking and encouraging independent learning.
I have suggested a variety of ways, within the resource, to present the scavenger hunt to suit the needs of your class and available space. Answers are also provided for when children begin at Station A so that you can keep an eye on their success and progress.
The clear and easy-to-follow answer sheet enables children to record their answers and make any annotations necessary. This can be stuck into books, if required.
Don’t worry about having to save ink and paper as I have created a resource that is minimal but effective in style and includes 2 questions per sheet.

If you want an alternative and exciting way for your children to learn and revise their times table knowledge, this is the resource for you!
Enjoy
