<p>Working alongside the complex speed sounds table the activities can be used as a starter when working on some of the vowel sounds. Each sound has a piece of text with examples of each sound and a little activity too. Some of the files are examples of some of the long vowel sound words.</p>

<p>Three lesson starters or activities.<br /> Boggle: Letters can be picked by yourself randomly or an online boggle simulator can be used to pick letters. How many words can they make in a set time. Once time is up students will have to work out their scores as bigger words earn more points.<br /> Countdown: again a countdown simulator online can be used or consonant and vowel cards can be used to make it more realistic and within a set time can make the largest word or most words.<br /> Scrabble: Random letters to make as many words as possible and total up scores at the end. Could use real scrabble pieces to pick letters.</p>

Trying to link bullying and superheroes together. A few activities on creating a superhero, a bullying comic book cover etc, to adding their own superhero in a story about bullying. Great for all ages and lovers of superheroes. Also a PowerPoint on what bullying is and why people might bully others.

<p>Three simple worksheets on adding adjectives, contractions and homophones. Useful as starter activities for literacy lessons. Suitable for lower ability students.</p>
