A model text based on The Three Billy Goats Gruff that I created for my Year 1 class. We use Talk4Writing and this model text is an integral part for the children to be familiar with. It is a 5-part story that uses these story starters: Once upon a time, one day, unfortunately, fortunately, in the end. There are 2 files. One which has been created using Widgit to support children who need visuals.

8 lessons of Whole Class Reading based on the book, Elmer. Each lesson starts with vocabulary, then opportunity to develop fluency and has some questions. Nothing seemed to exist to coincide with the Sunds Wite scheme for my Year 1 class. So, I spent hours making this as I needed something for the children to be able to reference while writing. I hope other teachers also find it useful.
