Introducing Emotions - ActivInspire Flipchart

Emotions introduced include happy, sad, calm, excited, angry and worried</p>

<p>Drag images out of “the bag of emotions” to reveal an emotion<br />
Drag and drop the word to match the emotion.</p>

<p>Drag and drop emotion to the face, discuss physical features of the face that show the emotion, i.e. tears, frown, smile etc.<br />
Use Magic Ink tool - (file, tools, magic ink) to erase face to check if emotion matches.<br />
(This generates lots of excitement in the class! Even my classroom assistants were amazed.)</p>

<p>Add in the names of the children in your class, allow them to come up to the board and choose how they are feeling. After I had introduced this slide within the lesson, I display this slide of the flipchart each morning for the children to check in independently.</p>

<p>This resource can be utilised in any primary age group, I initally used it with a SEN setting with senior pupils, but have subsequently used it in a variety of primary classes.</p>
