<p>Writing intervention used alongside a unit on Holes by Louis Sachar.</p> <p>The children had already read the first few chapters before starting this (recommended).</p> <p>Children to identify features of an example story opening.<br /> They then move on to up-leveling a text that includes mistakes.<br /> The children build on skills to then write their own opening.</p> <p>3 sessions - could take more depending on how deep the work is delved into.</p>
