A practical scheme I made based around Infra. Includes a lesson by lesson PowerPoint- 6 weeks duration- work booklet which follows the PP and end of unit written assessment paper. Covers all the aspects of the professional work including motif writing and analysis of theme, choreographic intention, movement content, lighting, set, costume, accompaniment etc. Students were really engaged and loved the unit producing some really great work- I was worried as it is a ballet piece and my class are anything but classical!! It is designed to be a practical unit with students creating sections of work in response to the tasks each lesson. These can be structured to create a whole group dance (I included the structuring as a task for students to complete in lessons at the end of the unit). Hope its helpful!

A lesson by lesson introductory unit I do with my year 10s as they begin the new spec GCSE dance course. Covers safe dance practice, RADS, choreography and dance styles. Additional homework sheets are also included. Choreography task acts as their baseline test

I use this with my year 10s as a mock attempt of their final choreography using the example exam question resources given by AQA. It worked really well with them and helped them to understand how to respond to a set question in an interesting and abstract way. The scheme covers use of RADS to create motifs, motif development, use of choreographic devices, how to structure and appropriate accompaniment choice. the resource also includes a booklet which is followed through the PP and a homework booklet which has examples of hypothetical choreography questions for students to complete across the scheme.
