War poetry lesson on base details. Taught to a lower set year 9 but can be changed to suit higher abilities. Lesson went excellently, strong build up and clear development and grasp of the poem and main ideas.

Two lessons I taught on the character Banquo in Macbeth. Tracks through the play, key scenes and ideas to effectively summarise Banquo’s importance and role in the play.

A double lesson for how to plan a story based on a disastrous day. I was observed with this and achieved good to outstanding. The pupils loved the planning and nature of the lesson and produced some great story plans.

A nice themes and symbols lesson for Lord of the Flies. Taught it to all abilities and all had a clear grasp of the themes and symbols in the novel. Likewise, when completing the task for key events for each theme, all were able to see how important that theme was, and how/ why Golding foreshadows and develops the theme throughout the novel.
