A5 sheets to help aid film music composition, covering 5 different film genres (Horror, Action, Romantic, Sci-fi and Comedy). Sheets contain key techniques found within the genre and definitions of words, for students to apply to their compositional ideas. This would best suit a KS3 class due to the level of content but would also suit a KS4 class for a reminder or lower ability students. As seen in the cover image I have laminated mine so they can be used over a number of lessons/project.

KS3 SOW (6 lessons) for Folk Music, using the ‘Wellerman’ song to help students understand key concepts and as a keyboard performance task. Lessons cover the following: Introduction of Folk Music (People’s music) Conjunct melody Time signatures Chords Pentatonic scale PowerPoints included for both lower and higher ability classes (slightly differentiated), these have instructions and links to suggested listening activities to YouTube in the notes section. KS3 SOW introducing students to the style of Disco Music. This SOW contains 6 lessons that covers the key features of Disco music, a performance task (‘Funky Town’), composition task (creating a bassline and hook for a Disco backing track) and listening quiz. These lessons are differentiated for LA and HA. SOW document also included.
