The Social Dilemma Questions and Answers

(2)

A resource I put together for students to work on while watching Netflix’s “The Social Dilemma”

There is a question every couple of minutes to keep them focused during the film.

I printed two pages to one side, and double sided, so that there are a total of two pieces of paper given to each student to save paper.

I have stopped the film at 46:20 to allow for discussion of the topics (and to split between two lessons), then played the 48:14 remaining the next lesson. This has also been split on the questions provided so there are 4 pages for the first part and 4 for the second part.

This is good as an end of term activity with students aged 12+ and covers Computer Science concepts of Ethics.

"Write A Program that..." Exam Questions (AQA style)

Questions and Mark schemes for students studying GCSE AQA Computer Science, for paper 1.

There weren’t a lot of questions given in this format due to the changeover in specification, so I decided to make some of my own, finding questions from other sources and then creating my own mark scheme for it.

Includes ten full questions ready to print, ranging from 4-8 marks. Includes lines to help the students indent like the actual exam.
Mark schemes for all ten questions in the same format as the official AQA mark schemes.
Questions and example answers given in Python but could be relatively easily changed to another programming language.

Could be used for mock exam questions (particularly if you have exhausted the other mock questions already), revision sessions or talking through exam technique. Getting the student to spot the patterns in the mark schemes is useful as then they know exactly where they get their mark from. This helped with students that had previously left questions like these blank!
