This is a lesson plan I used in a successful interview for a year 5 teaching post. It involves using long multiplication to solve a murder mystery. I placed the worksheets inside a top secret envelope to help the children engage with the task.<br /> <br />

This resource contains 34 worksheets that cover the entire scheme of work for year 5 and 6 spelling national curriculum spelling objectives and revise some of the year 3 and 4 objectives too. <br /> <br /> Most worksheets contain a Look Cover Write Check grid, a Word search, space to complete Word Triangles and space to Find the Meanings of the words. However, some of the sheets differ and may have more suitable activities for that objective (e.g. Write a sentence or change the suffix). The resource can be easily adaptable to your needs but you will not be able to change the word searches.<br /> <br /> Each worksheet has been designed to be a week's worth of activities. Something I use for writing lessons that I thought I would share. This is a notebook file with 20 pages of relevant SPAG reminders/warm ups/ information for Year 5. I use them at the beginning, middle and end of lessons to reinforce and consolidate Year 5 SPAG during writing lessons. Can be adapted easily for any other area of SPAG and there is space for you to create your own examples for your lessons.

A short quiz on Smart Notebook on KS2 grammar for SATs revision. Questions on nouns, articles, phrases, clauses, active/passive verbs and some fun riddles.

I use this in my classroom on our working wall. Laminate it and allow children to fill it in each week and then rub them out. Can also be used as a worksheet.

I have used this for topic work for Earth and Space. Great as quick hook for the topic, distance competitions with measuring activities or science investigations. Sheet has instructions and template!
