This booklet aims to help teachers to plan an inspiring English curriculum, by suggesting the fundamental principles which should guide planning for teaching and learning, and underpin the teaching of the new national curriculum. It offers ways of reflecting on and planning a school curriculum for English which is meaningful for learners and will raise their achievement.
