ALARM stands for “A Learning And Responding Matrix”<br /> It is a very helpful scaffold that provides a framework for learning, breaking down of tasks, feedback and reflection for students and teachers. Students can use this technique to help with their abilities in writing extended written responses for assessment tasks and in examination questions<br /> <br /> One emphasis of ALARM is empowering students to identify the Board of Studies key words. By understanding the key words, students will then know what is expected of them in their answers and how much detail is required for full marks. <br /> <br /> This is one poster that I give to every one of my students to use throughout the HSC course. It also works across other subjects and has been shown to improve students writing abilities.

This is an excellent assessment task which assesses two HSC modules for PDHPE. The best part is, itis focused on one of the world most popular fun-runs; Sydney's City2Surf. Students are responsible for using the information and content learn across these two modules to complete this. Want to go the extra step? A fantastic resource!<br /> <br /> Easily set up a 10 station fitness circuit by printing, laminating and laying these cards down in your designated exercise area. Each card is clearly labelled and has a picture depicting the exercise listed. Minimal resources and equipment needed!<br /> You make up the number of reps, sets, or time.<br /> For more fun...Dice are included to allow students to roll that will then decide the number of reps or time needed to complete the exercises.

Healthy Food Choices...they are quite important for growing teenagers.<br /> The tasks requires students to reflect on the foods they consume and make a judgement on the amount of energy and fat intake a McDonald's meal has on the RDI. This task analyses the strategies and marketing tools McDonald's uses to encourage consumers to buy their food products. Students are asked to think critically to analyse the responsibilities of both McDonald's restaurants as well as the responsibilities of the consumer.<br /> A marking criteria is included in this resource.

Finally, a document with all you need in one place to run an engaging and successful Round Robin Tournament.<br /> <br /> This package includes competition draw and schedules for a tournament based on 4-10 competing teams. Included is a score sheet, arranged in a grid to note down the score of each individual game. Also included is a points tally.<br /> <br /> The document is editable, so you can change it up any way you like according to your needs.<br /> Works fantastic with students. I find that teams that have a &quot;bye&quot; can referee the games. They get 1 point for correct refereeing.
