International Travel - The Geography of Flight and Planes

(0)
A resource booklet aimed at encouraging independent learning. Suitable for remote work or a homework project, as well as delivering in the classroom. This resource was originally developed for a student with ASC who has an obsession with planes, but it is also relevant for anyone with an interest in geography, especially around the UK and looking at international travel

Analysing Evidence

Students will learn how to expand answers and analyse evidence using PEE structure. The PDF is the student workbook that accompanies the slideshow. The slideshow links to video files where I talk through the slides for those with additional needs. Students can either work along with the slideshow, or you could deliver the slideshow and then have students complete the booklet. This is designed to be a series of 6 mini-lessons, but could work well as two regular lessons (or a double period).

Remote Learning Geography Booklet (Independent)

(0)
An independent collection of Geography resources from around the internet, complete with links to websites, podcasts, videos, games, VR, and others, in order to allow students to progress through the entirety of high school Geography (UK-based, but could apply overseas too). Some of the resources I created myself, but the majority are from other people. Includes material suitable for both SEN and HA students, and everything in between. The idea is that you could rip bits off to set as work. Alternatively, you could set the entire lot as a giant workbook which will take them a few months to complete! I guess it depends how long lockdown lasts for. Enjoy.

Remote Learning Geography Workbook

(0)
A 176 page workbook for students Y7-11 to work through that covers elements of both the AQA Geography Specification and more general Geography that is not covered in the Specification but would be useful or interesting to students. The PDF contains links to video resources, external websites etc, and is designed to be used independently by students. As such, it is ideal for lockdown/remote learning scenarios. Alternatively, you can screenshot elements and use them to create resources.

Revision Menu

(0)
A one-page revision menu for students to decide which method they want to use based on their energy levels and preferences. Includes visuals to help SEND and EAL learners too. Sometimes students don’t understand how to revise. In these instances, we must teach them what to do. Providing an element of choice allows them to engage better with their learning, resulting in better outcomes in exams and assessments. Assessment is an important component in education as it provides summative numerical data to analyse a student’s performance.
