Resources I have used to teach Energy

(lesson on insulation currently will not upload. I ran a practical session where pupils compared different types of insulation wrapped around beakers of hot water and monitored temperature drops. Set a homework to survey their houses for how thermal energy was conserved in their home and then to propose improvements)

Year 8 Physics Revision Lesson

This covers some revision of Reflection and Refraction, Energy Generation, Space and Circuits for year 8
I set up 4 locations round the room, space, circuits, reflection and refraction and generating electricity. Printed out the worksheets on different colours to match the tracker and put a pile at each location along with the info printed 4 or 6 slides per A3 sheet. Kids then went round and did the worksheets. After each worksheet they had it checked by me, ticked themselves off on the colour coded tracker and then went and did another one

I also put out a light box and bits so kids could fiddle with refraction/reflection by that location and a few circuits made by the circuits.
