The Hunger Games SOW - 175 PP Slides.

This is an almost complete scheme of work I created for teaching The Hunger Games to KS3. Unfortunately we didn't quite make it to the end of the novel and it starts on the premise that you have completed a Chapter one reading lesson and introduced students to the idea of dystopian and utopian societies. For each chapter I have included links to the audio book and the PDF format to read from off the board. I have also included bronze, silver and gold differentiated starters for almost every lesson, as well as aspire and challenge LO's, with challenge tasks integrated as and when I can to stretch high achievers. This document was originally created on the Google Drive, where videos can be attached directly to the PP, however on Microsoft they will take you directly to the video on youtube, when you click on the image link on each slide. There is also a few minor formatting differences on this version, which I apologise for. The SOW comprises of the exploration of language used, context lessons and the occasional fun and creative lesson thrown into the mix for students who thrive in creative tasks. I have also included the wordle worksheets I created for the character wordle lessons.
