<p>This is a fun but educational activity which I created for kids who are out of school due to COVID 19 . It focuses on literacy development (comprehension style artist study) but also includes a fun drawing activity to tie lesson together. I designed this as a lead up for lessons on illustration and animation.</p>

<p>This is a lesson designed for QQIL3. It includes a comprehension (place mat) study of illustrator Quentin Blake. It also has a character design activity- looking at expressions, posture etc for students to create their own character.</p> <p>This lesson is a lead up to animation.</p>

<p>Students will learn how to:<br /> -Control watercolour medium<br /> -Blend and build colour with new media<br /> -Experiment with a variety of watercolour techniques.</p> <p>This is an instructional, visual powerpoint with tips for using new media. Students are then instructed to complete an observational study, using the techniques they have just learned.</p>
