<p>A week of English plans culminating in the children writing their own set of instructions.</p> <p>I wrote my own newspaper article to “hook” the children in. The local landmarks listed could easily be edited for your school’s local area.</p> <p>I have adapted Pie’s Stone Giant Instructions to use as a model text in Wednesday’s lesson.</p> <p>There is also a whole class guided read using another set of Giant trapping instructions that i adapted from elsewhere.</p> <p>Also included are the Powerpoints I used in the lessons.</p> <p>Includes one day with a Talk For Writing activity that the children really enjoyed.</p> <p>All you need to provide is a trail of stones for the children to follow in Tuesday’s lesson.</p> <p>I used for Y3 but great for Y4 too.</p>

<p>This is a 12 page PowerPoint that includes a paragraph plan and model paragraphs for creating a travel brochure page persuading the reader to visit Greece or a Greek Island.</p> <p>There is an ideas bank linked to each paragraph.</p> <p>We were studying Greece in geography and this lesson produced a high quality piece of theme work that linked to persuasive writing in English.</p> <p>I used with a Y5 class but would be suitable for Y4/5/6.</p>

<p>This was written to link to the Lancashire Scheme theme of Rock and Roll but would be useful for any class learning about the Stone Age and Volcanoes.</p> <p>A pick ‘n’ mix homework sheet that allows the children to carry out project based learning activities at home.<br /> The children choose 4 activities in total (one from each coloured section) and can select the activities that appeal most to them.<br /> We sent this as homework for a whole half term and were blown away by some of the things the children created.</p> <p>Just edit the hand in date and add your teacher email at the bottom.</p> <code>Suitable for KS2 children. </code>
