This is a great activity to review the Spanish vocabulary and the spelling from Year 1 to Year 6. It has been adapted to two different levels of learning.

Pupils love this activity as they can be in charge of their own knowledge and discover how much they have achieved from previous lessons.

All you need is: the spelling cards, and either white boards and pens or a piece of paper and pen for each student.

This is how I use the spelling cards from Years 2 to 6.
First, pupils will be divided into groups of 3.
In each group, one will act as the teacher and the two others will act as the students. The teacher will select three cards at random. The “teacher” will then read aloud the 3 words from the cards in Spanish. The other 2 students will write down on their white boards or paper what they hear. The “teacher” repeats this 2 further times and will check the spellings for each of the students.
Students will take in turns being the teacher.

For Year 1 pupils, the teacher will show the cards and pupils will write it down on their white board or peace of paper.
