Used for a set 2 year 9 class. Lesson shows students how to interpret distance-time graphs, use the speed, distance, time equation and leads students nicely into drawing tangeants and calculating speed from a graph
Suitable for the new AQA GCSE spec. The lesson has 4 key parts, increasing in difficulty with part 4 serving as an introduction to ionic half equations. Used with set 1, 2, 3 and 4 chemistry groups as you are able to hide the easier slides for top sets but also the harder ones for bottom sets.
A lesson powerpoint to take students through the basics of the 3 types of bonding. After this students move onto the particle model and are prompted to think about some of the limitations of this model. Exam questions have been added as mini plenaries as students are taken through the three lesson objectives. Objectives are colour coded so students know what they are learning at each stage.
