CPD - What does Good/Outstanding teaching & Learning look like

(0)
A range of materials that I created as a departmental CPD session. The session looked at what the department felt Good & Outstanding Learning would look like in the department (mind mapped on a separate sheet). Staff then evaluate heir strengths against the list they have created and set areas for development. Staff discuss what strategies they can try to address their areas for development and record these.

A follow up resource has been added to all staff to consider the impact of the new strategies they have tried and identify further areas to develop. I use this on a 3 week cycle.

Marking feedback Sheet with EBI section

This is a marking feedback sheet that I created have successfully implemented in a number of schools.

The sheet includes comments on presentation, positive aspects of work, editable sections to include the LO covered and the grade/level covered. Students can self assess against these objectives, as well as the class teacher.

The second sheet provides space to paste/write questions that students can complete as part of their improvements (EBI's) for weaker areas. There is a section for the teacher and student to comment on the work completed in this section.

Premiership Football - Estimation and Problem Solving

(0)
A great little resource I made after Leicester City won the Premiership League this year.

The resource asks students to estimate (by rounding to Significant Figures) the capacity of some famous premiership stadiums and their average ticket price. From this students calculate the revenue made each game and per season. Student then evaluate their data and make the judgement 'Do you need to be richest club to achieve in the league?'

The 2nd activity asks the students to problem solve to see how many different ways they can achieve the total off 77 points in 35 games.
