I spent a long time looking for this already existing, but couldn't and so I spent a long time producing it! I used it with Year 5. NB - See my Art unit to make the braid. There&'s a plan and a notebook (also PDF for those who don&';t have SMART). The notebook is very thorough (I hope) and it includes all the steps in making the pouch. I looked for a long time to find a teddy bear passport and ended up making one. It prints on 1 A4 sheet and is folded to make a booklet. I thought I'd share it as it took a long time to make! The reason I&'ve attached a PDF document is because it was created on an iMac and so some of the fonts used are not commonly recognised. However, I am aware that some of you out there will want to edit certain features, so I&';ve also included it as a Word document.

A unit used with year 5. All the resources are attached as well. The notebook should be particularly useful. I did not make the PowerPoint, I adapted it from another TES user.

A unit following the SEAL title of 'New Beginnings&'. (ignore the Egyptian figures on the plan - it was our topic at the time!) The unit uses some SEAL materials, which I&';ve included here. In one lesson it also looks at a great book by Oliver Jeffers called 'The Heart and the Bottle&'. I&';ve scanned some parts in on a PowerPoint, but the lesson really needs the text to go with it.

A unit that follows some of SEALs 'Say no to Bullying&' ideas. I have included all resources like the stories and poems as well as &';home-made' ways of recording - moral compass, speech bubbles, action boxes for the activities.

Lessons focussing on portraits, different artists around the time of the Tudors and some other activities like Tudor weaving and making a stained glass Tudor Rose window. See my Tudor DT Money Pocket, which links in with the tudor braid mentioned in the plans.

I use these cards for a Timbre Game where the children sit in a circle. (Similar to hot potato). In the middle are a selection of instruments (range of materials and methods of playing). Someone picks a card. Then sing together, while passing an object around the circle: Use ‘Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star’ as the tune. The lyrics are: 'Can you make a (e.g) spiky sound, We would like a spiky sound. Use the in-stru-ments you see, come and make this sound for me. Can you make a spiky sound, we would like a spiky sound. Whoever the object stops on, comes to the middle to make that timbre.

A unit of literacy lessons for significant authors. I taught this with year 5 and focussed mainly on Charlie and the Chocolate factory. The notebook has plenty of useful bits on it! I was surprised as at the end of the year, the one thing every child put on their self-report as enjoying, was the topic on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! NB (Morpurgo, Dahl, Jeffers and Browne were the names of my literacy groups)

I've attached the instructions for a rhythm game. I often use it as a warm up and all children love playing it! It is important that for this game, you've established a degree of mistakes being acceptable as the &'spotlight&'; will be on children! However, all children I have taught love it!

A KS2 lesson focussing on 3d shapes in the context of Ancient Egypt. Children create 'Wanted&' posters for shapes, detailing their properties. The lesson starts with an oral-mental starter on the PowerPoint. Then, an &';email' appears on the screen with a letter. I used the context of the class visiting a nearby museum, stating that jewels had gone missing from artefacts. There are also Egyptian labels that you may want to customise. And a postmark, which I use a lot in mantle lessons, stuck on envelopes.

This was used with year 5, but could easily suit older year groups. It's a debate lesson based on coastal defences. At this point in the unit, children had already looked at different types of coastal defences, erosion, deposition and cave--&gt;arch--&gt;stack--&gt;stump. The children were given roles and then discussed ideas in groups before holding a class debate.

A short PowerPoint on Myron, the Ancient Greek sculptor. I used this with year 5 when teaching Ancient Greece. However, it is easily adaptable for other ages. There are questions and plenty of images (which are from the internet and I do not have the copyright for). There is a focus on sculpture subjects, sculptures as artefacts and sculpture materials.

A set of 4 table names, using famous explorers as a theme. Originally, I downloaded a tudor style font for these, however, it may display differently if you don't have it installed - so you can edit this how you like.

While teaching the year 5 unit Earth, Sun and Moon, I created this leaflet to set as a piece of homework. Ideally this needs to be set during winter months (as children need to be allowed to stay up late enough for it to be dark). A quite open summative assessment of a water topic that I've used at the end of a topic with year 5. They actually quite enjoyed demonstrating everything they could remember! (Square boxes are for written responses and rounded rectanges for diagrams)
