A challenge lesson to encourage pupils to think about all of the factors to be considered when choosing a location for a hillfort. Each child/group of children is allocated a role in the tribe. They then need to choose the best settlement site based upon the things they need to fulfill their role. At the end of the lesson, each group votes for their preferred site for a hillfort.
