<p>This is aimed at Y11 during revision lessons. It is really focussed on Paper 1 Medicine and American West. I use this resource to group the students together in teams (mine love a bit of competition)! This enabled the students to work collaboratively and recall knowledge and understanding of both topics. It is a fun way to engage and enthuse the students. It also reassures some of your students that their revision is working whilst showing others that more revision is needed to recall some important knowledge and understanding.</p> <p>Would suggest you do the following:<br /> *Put your students in teams and each team has a name (just like a pub quiz)<br /> *Suggest you have a prize for the winning team. Chocolate works well even if it isn’t very ‘healthy schools’!<br /> *Time each round and read out each question<br /> *Put the answer slide on the board (works equally well putting the answers on the board rather than reading through each. You will see what I mean when you see the ‘buzz’ for learning this creates)!<br /> *Prize for the winning team</p> <p>It is good fun so enjoy!</p>

<p>OCR.</p> <p>This powerpoint is aimed at developing students’ source skills using their knowledge and understanding of quacks. The skills are transferable to paper 1 as some of the same question types come up.</p>

<p>GCSE History (Medicine)</p> <p>This is a ‘briefly explain’ style question based on how Fleming, Florey and Chain discovered and developed Penicillin. This is just a worksheet to help the students focus on only writing 5 things in a concise manner.</p>

<p>A two-sided knowledge organiser for the Vietnam War. This has key information condensed onto two pages to aid students’ knowledge of this topic such as some contextual information, key information, dates and information and their definitions from the GCSE Pearson specification for Paper 3.</p> <p>This Proved effective with my students as a useful tool for students to revise key terms and concepts before application to exam.</p>
