This is a detailed session plan for an observed literacy lesson relating to the poetry ‘Silly Stuff’ unit. I have attached the Smartboard file that links to the session plan. I hope someone may find this useful. My class really enjoyed this unit. Please leave feedback.
This is a Smartboard file together with two session plans.
The first session plan labelled Tuesday does not relate to the smartboard. However, the session plan called Wednesday does relate to the Smartboard.
I used worksheets appropriate to my class, as some children were only able to do on the hour and half past.
Smartboard notebook with giving change activities to use as a whole class.
This works alongside the session plan, which is detailed. My class varied from a level 1b to a level 3a in a year 2 class of 29, inc. three EAL.
I was observed and assessed for this lesson and achieve good with outstanding features.
I used baskets of items on the children's desks for independent activities so they could choose an item and work in pairs to find the correct change.
Tasks were differentiated by: resources, TAs, and amount that children had to find change from.
This activitiy worked over four days. Children enjoyed the role play element.
The ICT maths resource referred to is in a Maths Pack. I have details, if required.
Year 5 and 6 lesson plan and smartboard file relating to coasts, coastal erosion and sea defences. Lesson encourages children to find out about different sea defences using ICT and hands on activity using sand and water. Worksheets and sand activity are attached within the session plan.
The videos used can be found on Primary Espresso.
Problem Solving, patterns and sequences, algebra.
