<p>A selection of maths resources linked to football and specifically Euro 2024. I use for pupils in years 5 through to year 8.</p> <p>Euro Maths Challenge is a new effort so we shall see how it goes in the classroom, hopefully fun competitive ish Maths!</p> <p>Euro Mascots is a data handling exercise based on ranking the past Euro mascots, a firm favourite every couple of years.</p> <p>16 questions - football related - a number of tricky questions involved.</p> <p>Football dice simulation - I normally get pupils in a group to play a group and then enter the knock out stages, it ensures more are involved into the latter stages.</p> <p>The flags are simply a method of assigning a country to each member of my form group, they pick out a team randomly and that gets put up next to a large Euro 2024 fixtures poster.</p>

<p>A 50 question Christmas quiz, with focus on puzzling questions rather than knowledge of christmas traditions. 10 rounds of 5 questions, with lots of visual problems, music, word searches, christmas cracker jokes etc…I then add 5 pictures of teachers using the face in hole website with an elf yourself video containing 5 more teachers to make the quiz 60 questions in total. I have made christmas quizzes for the past few years and uploaded to TES so if you need more questions please look them up. Questions are followed by answers, all on the same powerpoint to keep things as simple as possible!</p> <p>This resource is free, I hope you and your students enjoy it.</p>

<p>NOT THE BEST CHRISTMAS QUIZ EVER (unlike all the others!) However, 50 questions, 10 groups of 5, puzzles and visuals rather than Christmas knowledge. <p>A Maths Puzzle with 6 clues and 7 suspect teachers. Pupils solve the clues to eliminate 6 potential grinch’s to reveal who is the Christmas Grinch. The puzzles involve Cracker Jokes, 12 days of Chrsitmas song questions, working out how much The Grinch Loves Christmas and others to hopefully keep pupils occupied in the final week of term. All answers are included, I am planning to just project the puzzles with no printing or planning required. The Grinch’s can easily be changed to suit your needs and in between lessons to allow for different Grinch’s for different classes.
