This is a lesson on literary proposals for the unseen prose part of AQA love through the ages. It uses a historicist approach, getting the students to think about proposals over time, and getting them to look at different extracts in preparation for their exam. It builds up skills and independence. This is a fun lesson which I did with high ability year 7 students on Alice in Wonderland. <br /> The class did a WHOOSH- just give the students the character name and a copy of the script and they come up when their character appears and act it out. <br /> There are then some creative writing activities based on the novel.

This is an A3 snakes and ladders game which I made for a high ability GCSE English Language class. <br /> It includes all of the techniques they need (especially for the demands of English Language Paper 1). <br /> They had great fun playing it and it is ready go go- just print and provide some dice!<br /> I have also attached a glossary of key terms to go over before playing.
