To celebrate the German F1 Grand Prix at the Hockenheimring I have created this interactive game for my German students. Enter your own questions and multiple choice answers and watch as two teams battle it out to be the first car past the finishing line. Possible instructions on the first slide. ENABLE ALL MACROS AND REDUCE SECURITY ON YOUR PC FOR THIS TO WORK PROPERLY. I will split my class up into two teams and give everybody a mini whiteboard. Pupils will write the answer of the question on their mini whiteboard and hold it up after my count down. The team with the most correct answers will be the team who's car will move around the screen (just click on the car) Enjoy, and I look forward to your feedback :)

Use as a plenary or revision exercise to review adjective endings and clothes for the whole class. PowerPoint contains instructions, but I will use it togather with mini whiteboards. Is also a cultural look at sport in Germany i.e. The German Grand Prix. Let me hear your feedback! Enjoy!

Following the Metro 1 book, this presentation includes activities around greetings, bonjour, ca va? comment tu t'appelles? etc. The presentation backs up oral pair and group work in class as it is used for the first lesson with my year 7s.

Designed for Echo 3, Coole Schule, but can be adapted. Demonstrates word order change when using WEIL. I’ve taken ideas from other resources from the TES website, so thanks to those for the inspiration. Resource is best used with an actual Welly, which adds kinaesthetic joy to the subject of Weil.

A series of activities that use assessment criteria and involve peer and self-assessment around the area of Gesundheit and Sport in preparation for speaking assessments. Notes are give on the relevant slides as to which worksheet to use. The activity can be used around any topic, although some of the resources will need to be changed. My year 10s enjoyed this activity and by the end of it were fairly good at answering the questions without too much hesitation. Let me know what you think!

An interactive PowerPoint template featuring WALT and WILFs as a means of introducing learning objectives and learning outcomes. The slides feature buttons to go straight back to the WALT and WILF slides, so that they can be used as mini plenaries or as a tool for a 'where we are' check. A speaking and writing assessment preparation mind map for students. This can be given to students at stage 1 of coursework preparation and will be useful for stage 2 and stage 3. Sets our tips, hints and a structure for pupils tackling French, German or Spanish speaking and writing assessments. Can be used with AQA and other exam boards (may need to change the 'task planning form' bit). Hopefully clear and visual help for students stuck during these activities and a useful independent learning tool.
