A fun activity where the children learn about how animals adapt to their habitats. Includes pictures to print out, for children to create their own animals who could live there- focusing on how the animals would be adapted to suit their surroundings.
I was looking for a presentation about Fair Trade chocolate, but really struggled. I found a great presentation about Fair Trade bananas and tweaked it. Hope this helps you!
I have uploaded a range of resources, teaching children about the star signs and constellations. There are 2 different presentations about the star signs. I focused on explaining how Greeks would create stories about the constellations, in particular, the story of Perseus and Andromeda. The children had a copy of the pictures and re-enacted the story. They then used the planning page to plan their own constellation story.
For the bad example of how honey is made, I put the children in pairs to highlight what made the exlpanation text bad. Then we looked at the improved version of how honey is made and the children explained to each other what made it better. After this, we looked at the Hersey's link about how chocoate is made, with a follow-up task of the children cutting out the pictures and instructions; then matching them and gluing them onto A3 paper, in the correct order.
This resource contains half a term's planning for a cross-curricular music topic based on 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat'. The children loved it and hopefully yours will too!
This series of notebook files contains activities to promote learners to analyse musical elements and compose their own versions of 'The Planets Suite', based on descriptions of the Planets by the Romans.
