<p>Powerpoint to explain what is happening in France with the Gilets Jaunes currently.</p> <p>2 ppts (one higher and one lower ability) lead class in discussion on key people in the movement, why they are protesting, why they are wearing the yellow vests and the government’s reaction. Ends with the ‘chanson des gilets jaunes’ link with an activity to complete in comprehension of the song. Can lead onto class discussion of cultural<br /> differences in approaches to public demostrations and ethics. Can take a whole lesson.<br /> Great way to get students of all years (we used it for years 8-13) engaged and understanding what is going on right now in France.<br /> Links to GCSE topics of wealth and poverty as well as A-level topic of strikes.</p>

<p>A word document with sentences to turn into questions in the perfect tense to find someone in the classroom who did each of the different Christmas activities. Could also add some future tense resolutions.</p> <p>Discuss in pairs what the sentences mean, discuss how you would turn them into the interrogative form and then let students walk around and try to find someone for each one speaking only French.</p> <p>Could follow up with some writing in the third person.</p>
