Covers noun and adjective work, alphabetical order, glossary work, 2A sentences, similes, poetry work based on List and Cumulative poems and Explanation texts.</p>

<p>Planning based on the book The Colour Monster by Anna Llenas. I planned this unit for my Year 3 class due to returning to school after lockdown and dealing with a lot of emotions. 7 lessons along with 2 art ideas. Literacy concentrates on synonyms, similes and writing a simile poem based on an emotion and combined with senses.</p>

This Literacy planning has 15 lessons which is based on the book Stone Age Boy. It helps to combine the curriculum objectives for Stone Age History with Literacy objectives.

I used this planning for mystery and adventure stories. The planning combines drama with the building blocks for descriptive writing.

<p>Using the book Willy the Wimp by Anthony Browne, this resource contains 6 lesson plans (with 2 extra lesson for writing a Non-Chronological Report) and resources. This links in with the Science topic - Animals including humans. Lessons include a character profile of Willy, conscious alley and planning and writing a Non-Chronological Report.</p>

<p>Using the book and both films, 27 lessons ideas to help with descriptive writing ideas, diary entries, rhyming poetry, senses description, persuasive writing, character profile, drama, hot seating and non-chronological reports. Useful topic for healthyeating/plants in Science.</p>

<p>In this Year 3 planning, 10 lessons concentrate on fronted adverbials, character profiles of the two main characters, Alan Peat sentence types - 3ed, diary writing and an explanation text.</p>

<p>Planned for a Year 3 class but suitable for Year 4. Lesson plans cover fact finding about the Celts from the book, instruction writing for making a Celtic home, making a leaflet about the Roman Army, drama and writing 2 diary entries. Animated clips are used to support the teaching of Romans and Celts via this book. At the end of the planning, there are a list of suggestions for a couple of art and craft days.</p>

<p>The Billiant Bible is an Easter Play written in the style of Horrible Histories and the character Bob Hale (Repeatedly says - Not for long!). The play summarises the Old and New Testamanet. It is fast moving and can be performed within 15 to 20 minutes. Ideal for a class assembly.</p>
