I have developed some resources to go in line with the European Football Championships that will be on in Poland and the Ukraine in the Summer of 2012. It includes a PowerPoint to go through the lessons, along with a pupil workbook that will help student. This is available in BOTH German and French. I have pieced together some resources for the World Cup in SA 2010. Attached are 2 presentations, one in German and one in French and two corresponding workbooks, which are to be printed, given out and worked through over about 6/7 lessons. At the end of each document is the task bank, of which there are 5 tasks, taking up 5 lessons where the class apply the knowledge learned in the course (and in previous KS2/3 units) to fulfil the requirements of the tasks. I have put together a flipchart and accompanying workbook with lesson overviews, based on some aspects of the QCA framework on fashion etc. Hope you enjoy it, there is a whole scheme of work in it so it should be comprehensive for lower ability groups in year 8 This has been adapted from some great work from 'fanatic1&'. This has worked alright for me so far. I used the first few slides to recap on prior knowledge by asking, what questions can you ask Lisa? They give questions, answers and then we move on to the topic. Hope you enjoy
