GCSE Maths Revision Guides, 4 beautifully designed fun colouring sheets/posters for entire syllabus

(5)
Number, Algebra, Shape and Data all condensed in to one, fun A4 page per topic. <br /> These four sheets can be used as revision guides for students to colour in as they revise, as posters to refer to or to aid general learning of formulas and rules for the edexcel maths GCSE syllabus, (they could be used for AQA and OCR as well, but I have designed them to cover all of the edexcel syllabus).<br /> My students have all welcomed having the syllabus covered in four more manageable colouring sheets. They have then produced flash cards on sections where they need more detail or more examples. Although brief, every element of the maths GCSE for the higher tier should be covered. I have used these for foundation students as well, simply highlighting the sections that they require. <br /> <br /> The designs for each topic are as follows;<br /> Number - Countryside scene with the indices laws in the clouds and the fractions, percentages and decimals creating the hills and valley below.<br /> Algebra - Elevator doors splitting equations into linear on the left and quadratic on the right.<br /> Shape - The shape train is travelling along the parallel line rules to the windmill of transformations.<br /> Data - Bunting hanging in a tree along with all of the things to do with frequency tables and a branch turning into a probability tree diagram.

GCSE MATHS 9-1 SPEC REVISION POSTERS Foundation and Higher for Edexcel

(1)
<p>The entire edexcel 9-1 specifiation condensed into a double sided A3 page. Designed like a maths tool box, these fun sheets will help students identify the areas they need to revise and remind them of key formulae and methods. One side contains all of the foundation syllabus and the other contains just higher elements.<br /> These tool boxes could be used to produce more detailed flash cards or complete their own tool boxes (blank tool box included), or simply to colour in as they revise. They could be used for AQA and OCR, but I have designed them to cover the new 9-1 edexcel syllabus.</p>

Code Breaking Challenge

<p>Excellent code breaking challenge which can be spread over 2-4 lessons. Students are introduced with a story about a murder at their school, but all of the clues sent by their teacher have been coded. Powerpoint takes them through the history and detail of each type of cipher for which they complete practise examples on the accompanying sheet. Finally students are given 5 coded clues in a booklet which they solve to find out who committed the murder.<br /> This resource took me over 20 hours to put together and has been tested with classes and subsequently improved. It can all be modified for your own school and would make an excellent extra curricular activity or special event. There are lots of extension activities too.</p>

Lego men probability

Worksheet to use either with tree diagrams or AND OR rules. Students work through questions working out the probability of picking out male/female and other variables with lego figures. There could be a little ambiguity in the results depending on what students classify some of the variables as but I have used this to ensure the students can prove their working.

Two worksheets for basic fraction addition (same denominator). Grids included for pupils to visually add the fractions. Started worksheet to develop students' understanding of equivalent fractions by shading in different fractions of grids. I have used this worksheet for one to one tuition so probably needs some questions added to use for a whole class.

Look out for the really huge feet but short little ogres from this school. Students plot the two variables on the grid. Perhaps they could then collect data for their own class to see if there is a positive correlation there too.
