I have created a powerpoint slide with the considerations that need to be taken when in charge of Health & Safety. It gives an example of what a risk assessment should look like and the precautions that should be taken when planning an event.

This is a Songwriting booklet that I have used for Year 8, but can be adapted to suit any year group. The students are introduced to different genres of song then the structure of a pop song. They are then introduced to different lyric formats. Students will begin to write their own lyrics first then add chords to these. There is an area for self/peer assessment and criteria for the songwriting assessment. A list of keywords are at the beginning of the booklet that are related to songwriting. Homework tasks are included as well as learning objectives/outcomes for every lesson. There is a music file attached for the music genre task.

This is an introduction to hp-hop music. This topic works exceptionally well with Year 9, in particular boys who are difficult to engage. It has listening tasks and looks back at the history of Grand Master Flash and where it all began. There is a set criteria with levels for an assessment at the end of the topic.

The resource is a powerpoint outlining the roles and responsibilities of the person who is in charge of the budget when planning an event. It details the considerations that need to be taken when in charge of the budget such as incomings and outgoings and gives an example of an expense form.
