I have used this smart board presentation to explain contour lines at KS3. I then did the activities from the Geog.1 book on contours before doing the plenary. The homework sheet was made to be simple enough for year 7 mixed ability classes to complete indenpendantly whilst still recapping what we did in class.

<p>Goes over both these skills of map work. Used for year 7 classes.</p>

<p>I initially made the work sheet for use with KS3 (it matches the version in Geog.1) but later also used it with the presentation with a year 10 class after discovering a gap in any sort of knowledge of urban land use models. We went through the photos and they made notes as we went on the worksheet in the correct box. With KS3 they had the choice of drawing the types of things found in each area or writing about them on the sheet.</p>

This is a summary of all the case studies for the 2013 spec of WJEC B GCSE Geography. Some of these are no longer needed on new spec and some case studies now needed are missing but sure there are many which will overall so hope they are of use.

Information about each type of housing tenure along with worksheet for students to fill out. I have done this as a teach each other type activity.

Students given view points of different stakeholders in groups. Each group takes on their views and students need to find out the views of all the stakeholders and fill in on the worksheet.

Questions based on flooding risk in valleys with different land uses. Differentiated sheets.

Students need to annotate the graph and then draw pictures for the four seasons. Aimed at a lower ability year 7 group but could also be a good homework.

Graphing activity to show changes, I differentiated by giving some students to graph started off for them.

<p>This stand alone lesson has been put together quickly to get students thinking about what they are seeing in the news this week and the tragedy going on due to this natural disaster. Students have not yet covered tectonics.</p>

<p>Full 9 lesson SOL for natural resources including sheets and powerpoints. Have made use of the Hodder Progress in Gegoraphy KS3 book for this but most things are on the slides too.</p>
