This resource provide students with a yearly booklet to enable students to set targets and gain effective mentoring from their tutors. It provides instructions of how it will be used, initial targets and termly sessions to encourage engagement with tutors and students.<br /> <br /> Each half term students will have one 50minute session to meet with their tutors in a large group. This resource enables students to analyse their own data whilst reviewing their performance and setting meaningful targets.<br /> <br /> the next stage is each term (3x a year) students will meet in a small group / individually with tutors. This enables a more detailed interaction with tutors. This has been a useful session to gather more information of a students performance, and highlighting students that have gone 'under the radar'.

<p>Here is a strategy that I have developed for the DCF in Wales. This has been commended by our school advisors.</p> <p>The strategy includes;<br /> Aims,<br /> Where we are at (a form to copy is attached to hand to staff)<br /> Expectations<br /> Mapping and tracking (including example tracking form - with a couple of examples.<br /> Working model for my setting.<br /> Roles and responsibilities of key staff<br /> Steps for the future.</p> <p>In addition - I have included a 2 hour staff training session that can be used to develop competency of staff. I am willing to offer advice and support as part of this resource.</p>

<p>I have created a transferable Intervention passport for students in the Business and Computing faculty. This allows students to have a visual aid on targets set and if they have met them.</p> <p>A great method for behaviour management.</p>
