A good visual introduction using Numicon to show doubles with number sentence to support.<br /> Using Numicon cards available from my resources, children can then sort the cards as to whether they are a double or not a double. If they find a double they work out the answer and if not they put a cross on the card.<br /> <br /> Children love this activity, especially when they free Superman. This could be changed to your favourite character to inspire your class.
